On September 28th, IMP Diagnostics organized a transformative Clinical Session in Cape Verde! Under the theme ‘HPV and Cancer: Prevention, Diagnosis, Treatment, and Prognosis,’ we brought together several healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advancements in the field and promote a vital exchange of knowledge for the future of local medicine.

Key Highlights: ➡ Global and local impact of HPV and its relation to Cervical Cancer; ➡ The growing importance of screening for early diagnosis; ➡ An in-depth look at Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and the crucial role of prevention; ➡ The detailed process of Anatomical Pathological Diagnosis.

It was an event that reinforced our commitment to improving healthcare through collaboration and knowledge sharing. This session represents another step toward excellence, not only for Cape Verde but for all the communities where we operate.

“The program of this Clinical Session included an extensive approach to central themes such as HPV, Cancer, and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). We will now provide a brief summary of some of the presentations, particularly focusing on the link between HPV and Cervical Cancer and its impact worldwide and in Cape Verde, where we also highlighted the benefits of Molecular Testing for the detection of HPV and its high-risk subtypes. As HPV is an STI, we took the opportunity to give an overview of the current impact of various STIs on the global population. Lastly, we include a final note illustrating the phases of Anatomical Pathological Diagnosis within IMP Diagnostics.
