Cytology is a very broad field, encompassing exfoliative cytology—both gynecological and non-gynecological (effusions, washings, brushings, and body secretions)—and fine-needle aspiration cytology of various tissues or organs.
Cytological samples, often obtained through minimally invasive techniques and processed rapidly, provide valuable insights for the swift and effective therapeutic guidance of patients.
