Accurate diagnosis of pulmonary and cardiac diseases.
The activities of the Pulmonary and Cardiac Pathology Unit include microscopic analysis of cells and tissues to achieve a precise diagnosis, provide prognostic information to guide treatment, and predict the progression of pulmonary and cardiac diseases. It also enables Therapeutic Monitoring by tracking tissue changes in response to treatments (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, cardiac surgeries, etc). Additionally, it provides support for scientific research.
